Most print resources for biographies can be found in the 921s and 920s. Biographies of individuals can be found in the 921s search by the first three letters of the person's last name (e.g. 921 KIN - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.); 920s are for collective biographies (e.g. 920 STO -  Almost Astronauts: 13 Women Who Dared to Dream).

You may want to also follow the catalog link above to search for your person as there are often other books throughout the library media center that will contain valuable information.

Also, don't forget the following series/annuals:
920 AUT - Authors and Artists
920 CON - Contemporary Black Biography
920 CON - Contemporary Musicians
920.03 CUR - Current Biography (1940-1987)

If you are not familiar with how to effectively evaluate resources, take a moment to look at the CRAAP criteria.
